Speeding fine.
I was driving past a speed camera when I saw 2 flashes of light in my rear view mirror. I think I may get a ticket in the post. Any idea what I can expect next as I've never had a ticket before?

The ACPO guidelines is 10% + 2 but, when there are cameras such as on M'way road works that rule of thumb goes out the window as its for temporary enforcement and the local authority covering that area can impose what limit they like. In some areas of the country the 10% + 2 rule is a little more generous, you were unfortunately in the wrong place Norman-the-Dog. Your advice is right though, not worth contesting, too much evidence and Ania as you were speeding bite the bullet
If you do get a ticket its usually within 2 weeks of the incident, if you havent heard anything by then cjhances are you will be okay. As far as contesting it, you could but what is your arguement against the evidence?? Plus you will get a bigger fine and possibly more points. If you get a ticket just pay it.
