We have a house where the neighbours have bought a newly acquired garden directly outside our kitchen, it was previously an access to all other neighbouring properties including ours. They have fenced it off drilling holes in our kitchen wall to erect the fence. They now look directly into our kitchen area .We have been here 26 years. Can i prosecute them for drilling the holes into the kitchen wall without permission and any privacy laws?

If this provided access to your home presumably there is a legal right of way which they cannot close without your agreement.

With regard to the fence they are in breach of the Party Wall Act 1996 which requires agreement between the parties BEFORE any work is undertaken. Seek the advice of a solicitor or a specialist Party Wall Act Surveyor. A local surveyor could be recommended by the RICS, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
