I ordered on line about two months ago - 2 waterbutts for our garden - they arrived two weeks later However, the company who sent them, refuses to take payment for them from my debit card - I have emailed them twice to remind them - with no response What I am worried about is that they may remember some time in the future and take money from my account when not expected (and when finds are not necessarily available)- what does the law say about this sort of situation - how long has a company got before taking payment ?
If you have moved house or changed your name it won't stop them from debiting your bank account.
They can still chase you for the debt upto 6 years. You know how much these items cost and so you should make sure that this amount is in your account until they do take it.
I understand its a pain, I hate it when things don't go out straight away but unfortunately there is not much you can do about it.
