Here is a site offering doctorates in Theology, Divinity and Ministership. Are they valid? And as I am from the UK, and this is USA, is it valid over here - can I put Dr. or Rev. in front of my name on my passport??

Don't see why not - that's how 'Dr' Gillian McKeith got to call herself doctor.

But you can call yourself anything you like - just as 'Reverend' Ian Paisley has done for years - as long as you do not set out to defraud anybody.

The criminal aspect comes in when you try to treat a patient or marry a couple. :)

These doctorates are not regarded at all by the educational institutions in the UK or by employers, so don't waste your money.

Yeah, but I'm interested in it for tax and general showing off reasons (hence wanting it on my passport) not for publishing in papers or applying to Uni's.
Also it's �300 not a couple of grand. Worth it? As technically, because it is a University,and I will have to do work for it(and I do have some interesting philosophic theories) I can blag that its worthy.......sort of.....
