if you paying a set amout of maintance each month to ex partner and there are claiming working tax benifits and the child is starting college in september and the child is working partime does the father still have to pay maintance and what age does he have to pay untill or what about if the child was was working fulltime hours around college .

I would think that the income that the child gets is not taken into account for any maintenance payments or Tax Credits
if the parent with care informs the IR that the child is starting college then any benefits should remain the same.
maintenance is not taken into account for tax credit calculations
if you still need advice I suggest you ring the CSA and the Tax Credits helpline
