does anyone know if you can apply for a suspended warrent of execution on a repossession order

A court can issue a suspended order for repossession but this would normally occur at the initial court hearing. It's unlikely that a court would be prepared to suspend an existing order, unless there was new information available to them (such as the homeowner finding regular employment) which wasn't available when they issued the repossession order.
