I reckon it is ABH or more cutely
admininstering a noxious thing with intent to harm - one of the less used sections of the 1861 act

Maximum sentence is either 7 or 14 years but this is not what is used to determine the usual sentence.

Judges now have to stick to sentencing guidilines dont they ?

Technically CS cannister are Sect 5 Firearms, under The Firearm Act. with the current socio-legal-political stance on firearms, the CPS may draw from firearm legislation to show a positive conviction rate.

If this is the case it will be up to 15 years (with possession and the actual use in a crime)

However depending on your previous (hopefully no violent convictions) I imagine a guilty plea will be a �1000 fine and a 2 year suspended.
