I have a question about a breathalyzer test... if you have a mouthpiece that covers the roof of your mouth,, like a retainer that has two eye teeth on it , can it hold alcohol and make you blow higher than what you are? Any input on this would be greatly appriciated.....

No, the breath comes from the "belly" of the lungs, not the mouth.

It may have a slight adverse reading as the belly air will pass through it, but hardly noticable. But due to Home Office calibration of both roadside and station machines, this will be accounted for. Also, the station machines perform calibrations before your two readings which further account for atmospheric alcohol not from your lungs. Air trapped in the mouth with technically count as atmospheric air.
