taking stepson abroad
hi, not sure if this is the right place for this butwe want to take my step son abroad with us next year on a holiday for a week but his mother is saying by law we are not allowed anyone know if this is true or not

Have told her we have seen a solicitor, not that we have but we have made an appointment, she seems a bit worried now as she knows we are right.

Calling their bluff sometimes works...lol.
If you do take it to court (and I would) she would have to give a reasonable objection as to why your partner cannot take his son abroad for a week. Any judge in their right mind will see that a trip like this can only be beneficial to the child ~ and essentially this is what the judge is interested in.
