I attend a UNI where a visually impared student is recording the sessions on a dictaphone. Do they have to seek permission from other members of the group, (and can others refuse). The classroom sessions are used as an open forum, a safe environment where you are able to talk openly. Recording the session means recording group conversasions etc. Please help!
The student is not "blind" and already has all the handouts up front. making notes etc. They are just recording to take home and use as study notes. I agree that we could just be carefull with what you say, but then it isnt a safe open learning environment. I forgot to mention that this is in an Adult education group with many differing ideas and experiences. and differing proffecions and seniority.
