I work for a large retail store (60% cheaper) Sorry can't say name but I'm sure you will guess by the hint, I had to complain in writing to my manager about a comment (cause we're not white) that had been made by one of my staff who is dark and for the rest on the day she made my life hell, I am still waiting for it to be dealt with and it has been over 2wks, My hours have been cut this week while hers havent, just dont know where I stand legally
As Ethel says, yes. You can even have racism re white vrs white.
Racism is a grey area. What colour constitutes it. Is it a excuse for failure, or a synthectic emotion, or a cry for help because i am not white.
in theory yes in practice id say no, but thats just my opinion
From the Race Relations Act 1976:

1. Racial discrimination. (1) A person discriminates against another in any circumstances relevant for the purposes of any provision of this Act if

(1A) A person also discriminates against another if, in any circumstances relevant for the purposes of any provision referred to in subsection (1B), he applies to that other a provision, criterion or practice which he applies or would apply equally to persons not of the same race or ethnic or national origins as that other, but -

(a) which puts or would put persons of the same race or ethnic or national origins as that other at a particular disadvantage when compared with other persons,

(b) which puts that other at that disadvantage, and

(c) which he cannot show to be a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim.

I.E. There is no qualification of which races can discriminate against another, because all races are able to be racist.
It doesn't have to be you actual race either - your perceived race is sufficient, and, as Ethel says, it has exactly the same standing in law.
