Murder

A hypothetical Question, just seen on the news a man has been taken to court on Suspicion or murdering a teenager way back in 1961, how far would the police, go back before they would say , yeah ok that was too long ago. ie: say im a 94 year old, and i go to the police and say that i killed someone in 1932, would they follow it up ( even if there was a case in 1932) or would they just ignore me?

it's up to the police and would depend on the severity of the case. For murder, they would probably take it all the way: it's a serious crime and they would be happy to get it off their books. The judge might consider there was no point in sending a nonagenarian to jail; then again, he might not. But if you confessed to shoplifting in 1932 they'd tell you to go away.

They would definately look into it, and try to find co-oberating evidence of the murder - and if they do manage to co-oberate your story - you will be arrested for the murder - whether your 25 or 125. THERE IS NO STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS FOR MURDER!
