Is there any way to stop someone claiming to be the widow of a deceased person even though the marriage claim has been proved to be false (forged marriage certificate and sworn witness statements) .This person continues to use the family name for personal and business purposes, even when communicating with relatives!!! The claim was disproved after she attempted to gain from the will. Any views on this most welcome!
If they lived as man and wife and she used that name for common pur[poses and not for criminal purposes she can call herself what she likes. The forged marriage certificate i assume was done after her partner died to gain from the will, if that forgery was submitted to the probate registry she will be prosecuted i would imagine.
The forgery was used to gain ILR in this country and subsequently used together with other false information to obtain an NI number to enable her partner to claim pension credit. This all dates from the year 2000 and only came to light recently on going through papers after his death. He received a state pension, a Post Office pension , owned two properties and a lucrative business overseas!
I am confused now, everyone has a NI number and unless you are foreign it doesn;t change, what is ILR and why did she need to obtain a NI number? Is she foreign?
