Informed consent for sterialisation

I am a 34year old female. 5 years ago approximately 6 months after having my first and only child i asked my doctor for a sterialisation and this was agreed to without question. During the same period in time i was also diagnosed with depression and prescribed anti depressants by the same GP. The full extent of my decision is now heavily weighted on my mind and would like another child. I feel that the sterialisation should not have been performed under the circumstances. Any thoughts on this would be most welcome.
