fair enough, whickerman, but the fact of the matter is that it was a competition, and the T& C's of the comp (which i have studied) stated that the prize was valid, and would be delivered in full working order, i have been in touch with a few of the winners , (3 of which also are having problems with thiers as well,) but the majority of the prizewinners laptops are ok, i have been in touch with the manufacturers of the laptop, who said because it was a prize, the tesco competition runners are liable for the prize they promised, a fully working laptop, if i had bought it, then it would be a different matter, so even though i 'got it for nothing' they should honour thier prize which they put out on competitions.
Otherwise they should headline thier competions
'win a faulty laptop that needs repairing'
