For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The basic salary for MPs is �60,675 p.a. (They get more if they serve on Select Committees or if they hold ministerial posts). Some MPs also get a 'London allowance' of �2,812 p.a.
MPs receive an additional �90,505 p.a. to enable them to employ staff.
There's also a �10,000 p.a.'communications allowance', �21,339 p.a. 'incidental expenses provision' and �23,083 'additional costs allowance'.
All travel, while on Parliamentary business in the UK, is paid for. (If they use a car, they get 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles and 25p per mile thereafter). 'Official' travel within Europe is also paid for, up to a maximum of 3 journeys per year.
