Former Bankrupt

Hi guys i hope someone can help me i made myself bankrupt a few years ago i was discharged after a year and thats all fine my problem is im now studying to be a paralegal and really wanted to look at training to become a solicitor but it was suggested by my tutor that i may not be able to work as a solicitor because of the bankruptcy does this mean that im gonna be paying for mistakes of youth for the res of my life all i want is a good career x :-)

Their website (obviously designed by a solicitor: you can't get a useful answer from it, if at all, without spending a lot of time with it !) is

It's a fairly straightforward matter.

From experience (not as a bankrupt lawyer! ), I'm prepared to hope that they'll take a kindly view, given the circumstances you describe.

The key question they ask themselves about anyone who seeks to be admitted to the Roll (qualify into practice) is whether the person is of the character and suitability to be admitted.What that means is for them to say.

thank you so much for the advice i just rung them and they said there is no bar on formor bankrupts becoming solicitors im so happy xx
