I have applied to get into the police. I am now at the vetting process and have returned my form for checks. Does anyone know how long this normally takes?

Hi There, It can take up to 2 months, depending on how many recruits are in the loop. It also depends on how quick your referees respond.

Don't think that anyone can give a time frame for this, it varies from force to force and from year to year, when I joined 5 years ago it took nearly a year from sending my application to joining. Good luck, its a good job........the pays crap but thats another thread!
