Has anyone the answer to this please? When a job is advertised offering particular benefits or rewards for performance and then fails to deliver such promises after the job is accepted, is this a breach of contract?

I take it you mean bonuses or commission payments for reaching certain targets etc? If these are in your contract and you meet the criteria then youre entitled to be paid them. So, yes, under these circumstances it would be a breach of contract.
