Godds received after refund paid
5 Answers
Hi - I ordered a memory stick on-line, seller advised unprompted that it had been despatched, but I didn;t receive it. I contacted seller who confirmed it had been despatched within 1-2 days of my order, and after a couple of weeks to-ing and fro-ing (in which time they claimed to also have despatched a replacement), refusing to give any details of despatch dates, postal tracking or anticipated delivery dates, I asked for (and was given) a refund.
Nearly a fortnight later the first item has now been delivered: what do I do about this? Do I have to return it (I'll be asking the seller for postal charges up front), or has the provision of the refund effectively rescinded the contract between the seller and me and I am no longer under any obligation in this matter? Thanks!

If they don't make suitable arrangements within a few months, flog it on eBay.

Personally i would just keep my mouth shut and see if they contact you. This has happened to me several timest through ebay.
The seller lies about the date it has been posted, then after a few weeks of waiting i obtain a refund then the item arrives, I have never had any comeback from sellers though

Thanks for the input - my feeling was to let them know it had arrived (I had an inkling about the "unfair profit from the error of others" element) and having had a look at the legislation it's the safer thing to do. They've inconvenienced me enough that on principle I just wouldn't want them to have any money from me, irrespective of how little, so I don't want to hang on to it and then get a bill in a couple of months. Thanks again for the inputs!
