If you are unable to work for any time because of this then it is your employers' business.
They have a duty of care to you and a duty to the business, and effective absence management needs knowledge for them to understand the situation properly.
Intrusive as it may be, they are not going to accept 'gynae problems' as a blanket cover for long running absenteeism, whether it is the odd day or the odd week or so. Sadly, too many women have used this as an excuse for the odd day off here and there and they are wise to it. Yours is an on-going condition and if you want to continue in your employment you must co-operate with your employers. You can request that the information is reviewed only by the company doctor and hopefully they will treat any medical information with the respect to your privacy you deserve.
