How do I change from a morgage in two names to a morgage in a single name plus we are in an agreement for another 12 months to pay interest only how do I gat his name off the mortgage deeds

You would more than likely have to remortgage in your own name as you would have to prove that you can pay on your own.

Also you would have to get the second name removed from the house deeds as the mortgage company will not agree to a mortgage unless all owners are parties to the mortgage even if not all contribute to the repayments.

So, effectively, you have to acquire (buy) the other person's share of the house unless you can persuade then to give it to you.
