I think she wants to sign it over to me cos that's what her sister did for her, about 20 years before she died. Its for her own peace of mind - she worries a lot. And didn't want any fights between my brothers and i - brothers aren't always that nice if you know what i mean. Anyway, we're having an agreement drawn up so that i can't sell the house etc while my parents are there, and they can't throw me out or try and sell it etc either. But the solicitor said about CGT if i were to get another home later on. I was just wondering if you have to pay it no matter what, or if it depends on each individual situation.
As for tax evasion etc - as been implied - people can think whatever they like. If i have to pay something believe me i pay it.
Do you really think i'd be broadcasting it on the internet if i was trying to do something dodgy?? I have a brain you know??!!
Thanks to all thats replied. The response surprised me to be honest.
