Car accident liability

Hi all...
I was driving home happily last night when a woman left hand down reversing out of a parking space onto the main road and hit my car.
The damage to my car is all side impact and on hers... drivers side rear indicator which was obviously the point sticking out the most as she hit my car.
Is there any chance that this would be considered knock-for-knock (as it obviously wasn't!!)?
Thanks,
Cheatseeker!

Do you have any evidence to support your version? Did you get any photo's of the position of the vehicles. Somebody I know had a situation where he suddenly found a witness had turned up out of nowhere who testified he pulled in front of a car which then drove into the back of him, even though he had swopped details with the other driver with no-one in sight, after they drove into the back of him in a queue of traffic
She could always claim she was backing out of her drive, saw you coming and stopped, but you were not paying attention, swerved at the last minute, resulting in you skidding sideways into her rear corner....... There is no end to people's ingenuity if they want to get off the hook!
Good Luck!

Yes! I did good here... I got photos of her car in the parcking spot when she had pulled it back in after hitting me... a picture of her car reg showing the slight damage to her rear driver side indicator which was the most promenant point sticking out as she reversed into mine.
I took photos of the road showing both directions and I got her car in both of these shots. I also noted down in my notebook exactly what she said at the time nd this is a police type notebook as I am an enforcement officer...
Think that covers it?

Just go through your insurance (assuming you have comp cover) - don't go via accident management companies who generally can't find their own backsides with a map and bot hhands - trust me, I deal with enough of them.
This is quite straight forward, and if liability is disputed, your insurer will instruct and engineer to inspect both vehicles - the damage to both vehicles will show what has happened.
See lots of this (especially in supermarket car parks!).
