still in jail after been let off

hi
anyone know this.
if a man has been in jail for 8months and had his hearing 2months ago and got let off. why would he be released on the 16th of june?
if hes a free man dont they let them out the same day?

Is he also serving time for another crime, or on remand for another crime?

no idea, all i know was just the one. and suppose to be getting comp for the time served,.so i just dont get why hes not out.

Eh? If he was let off, he wouldn't be serving any time at all. He's either serving it for another crime, or he was given a custodial sentence, but with any time spent on remand and remission - that'd probably take him up to the date you've specified.
