Hypothetically...... If Miss Y fell pregnant by Mr X, but then a few months down the line decided she didn't want to be with him and so told him the baby wasn't his in order that he mightn't want future contact, even though it was, what rights would Mr X have? He can't prove the baby is his, as the mother is saying it isn't, but for argument's sake, say there is no doubt that the child is his - what can he do? Can you enforce a paternity test?

I do know Mr x will have no rights unless she is on the birth cert but as for the rest? No idea!

He can apply to the family division of the High Court for a paternity test, if he can show reasonable grounds.
