My friends husband left her about 2 years ago,what maintainnce could she expect from him, he earns �50,000+ my friend does not work as she has to look after their only child who is disabled.

I think that the time limit is big and the friend , should of asked earlier , however you can talk to the police get the right information and phone numbers.
that way you will be advised lagally.
However you can talk to citizense advice they are correct in information .
