gas bill from several years ago
7 Answers
Hello,
I have just received a letter from a debt collecting agency who say that I owe 1,600 to E.on (formely Powergen) for a previous address for years 2005/2006. I am shocked as you can imagine!!! I do recall being with Powergen at my previous address but were paying them on a monthly standing order or direct debit, not quite sure which. I have not kept a record of my final meteor reading as it was three years ago.
Anybody any ideas as to what I can do??
Thanks in advance

E.on are members of The Energy Retail Association, they agreed to a new code of practise, which says that where a supplier is at fault for not billing a customer, they will not backdate a bill more than one year.
