Hi There. I have been charged with a section 47 ABH. I struck a man once and knocked out one tooth. I have no record and have not been in trouble with the law before. What sentence am i likley to get? Any info would be cool.

Hi Ya Ronni, Thanks for that. You mention charchter reference. Will i be able to use this even if i plead guilty?

Not sure if i will use a solicitor or not.
Do you know how the process in court happens is it they read the charge and ask for a plea, Then if i plead guilty they adjourn then come back with the punishment?

When you get to court you can see the duty solicitor for free.
The legal advisor will read the charges to you. ABH is an either way offence and if you plead guilty, the court could commit you to the crown court if they think their powers are insufficient (6 months imprisonment)
On a guilty plea on the first occasion you will recieve a reduction in sentence. They will not give your sentence straight away. It is likel you will have to have a form of pre sentence report for a community sentence.
