when to take holidays
My husbands company have just written to all staff telling them not to book leave or flights etc until leave is approved, also all leave requests for that year have to be in by end of february . Can they do this. What if somthing unexpected happens in the year or wife cannot book same dates????? I think this is a digusting way to treat employees, I agree that if the company wants a certain amount of staff in work at all times and no more than a certain amount off at the same time but to be told 12 monthes leave entitlement has to be booked that far a head is unfair

Or, have there been problems in the past with holiday bookings such as people waiting until the end of the year then wanting loads of time off to make up for it or trying to get them held over or too many staff ending up off at the same time etc...
I'm sure they would consider emergency leave required accordingly.
