My friend has a criminal record from when he was younger, about 10 years ago and he would like to go to New York for Christmas shopping. He has been convicted for theft, handling stolen goods and assault on another occasion. He did serve a custodial sentence. Is it possible for him to enter the US? Im not sure if its just drugs and guns and stuff on your record that can prevent you from entering. He is now older and has a stable life now and a good job and hasnt been in trouble for many years. Any advice would be appreciated as I would hate to see him go all the way there with his wife and be refused entry.
