Student Rights...
If you were attending a educational establishment that was not a compulsory institude, such as school, what rights do you have?
A friend of mine is very unhappy with her current situation and is paying 5000 for a foundation course at this "institute", she feels she is being marked down by the teaching staff and feels like she cannot say anything to them because she feels like she has caused a lot of hassle.
She also wants to move to a different group where she will be happy with other students she likes and gets on with, she feels moving to this group would make her time there happy and she could do better work. This move would be very easy and would cause no problems to the staff or running of the classes and would benefit her as a person and a student.
Shouldn't the institue support this move? They have told her she can't. For reasons which don't seem right at all. I was just wondering, is anything she can do? Is the insitute under obligation as a place of learning to support their student and do whatever they can to get the best out of them? Surely this move would be a good thing?
Thanks people!!
