cautions working with vulnerable people

i was cautioned with battery in 2006 and i have only just found this out) and my employer wants a crb check. as i will be working with vulnerable people will this effect me?
i was getting my ex wifes drug filled teenage son out of our house

It most likely will. It will deffo show up in an enhanced CRB check and then it will be up to the employer if they want to give you a chance i suppose, although on the face of it it seems unlikely as you were guilty of a violent act on a teenager - the relatives of vulnerable people probably wouldnt be too happy to have someone looking after them like that

How can you have only just found out that you were cautioned 3 years ago? Something seems odd about this.
