we have put a fence between ourselves and the neghbours about two years ago both gardens are the same length but we fenced our garden short by about four feet becouse of tree stumps we also put the fence between the two propperties within our boundrie now next door as put a fence along the bottom of her garden and and up the four foot were we finished it off and joind it to our fence can she do this as she as now put a fence on to our land without asking
If the fence is put on your land, you can of course ask the neighbour to remove it.
But is this really so much of a big deal? - strikes me she has done you a favour.
The fence your Neighbour erected should be removed. In the future if either you or your Neighbour sell your properties it would cause conflict with regard to the boundaries. The best route is to negotiate with the Neighbour to remove the tree stumps to allow the fence to be placed in the correct position. Do not get into a dispute as this would also need to be disclosed on the property conveyance.
