Can anyone explain the new holiday allowance my husband is in a job with a monthly salary, are the bank holidays included in his holiday allowance. Thanks

The new allowance is 28 days per years. He will need to look at his contract to see if bank and public holidays are included, or additional, to that.
It is up to the employer and is legal to include bank holidays in the 28 days allowance.
hi there i have this too as i work at tesco you still have your holiday alloance thats seperate then depending on how many days you are contracted for work you have so many of bank holiday days but bank holidays now must be booked off if you dont want to take them . there no more like they owe us kind of thing !!! its very confusing as im only contracted a fri but get 2 days bank holidays so i have to use them say like one for easter friday so i get paid still and the other one whenever !
