Rules of a committee
3 Answers
I have recently joined a small committee/group with charity status and was just wondering about the rules regarding meetings. I know that its majority rule when voting on an issue, but if you do not attend a meeting, having given your apologies, have you any comeback if you disagree with a decision made at that meeting. Apologies if this makes no sense, I',m just curious regarding the rules.TIA

I really can't see how being absent is an excuse for a vote going the wrong way. Surely if it mattered you'd be there, and if it went wrong then you'd accept it.
