Found guilty over her word against mine

i just got found guilty for comon assault & criminal damge.with no proof & no witnesses.her word against mine.im going to appeal.does that mean i go to crown court.also can i change my solicitors as i could of crossed examined better.i need a good barrister if anyone can help. many thanks.oh what are my chances at crown?

Presumably there was a witness - "her" whoever she is.

It would seem the court believed her version, rather than yours. That's the way the courts work when if is your word against anothers.
I didn't think crown court dealt with cases of common assault...one of the legal folks will correct me if i'm wrong though.
You can appeal against conviction and or sentence passed in a magistrates court. You go to Crown court where a Judge will sit with two magistrates and listen to the appeal, you will need a solicitor who has power of audience in a crown court or a barrister.
