I live on a main road opposite a company that recently treated some employees unfairly and made them redundant. Before I go any further I will state that I have every sympathy with them and support their fight for their rights
For the past few months they have been protesting outside the company and therefore outside our house, and vehicles are beeping to show their support. Fair enough I have no problem with this.
However this week it has escalated and they have parked a car outside our house on the other side of the road and someone sits in the car ALL DAY with their hand constantly on the horn! This starts about 7am, and I don't know what time it finishes at because I have been at work, but on my day off we have to go out to escape it, but when we popped home at lunchtime it was still happening!
Is there any action we can take to quieten them down? I don't want them to have to stop their protest but it is unfair to the houses in the area especially during the holidays. I know that there are several neighbours who work nights therefore sleep during the day, and they are being disturbed as well!
One of the neighbours has already contacted the police but they aren't interested and won't do anything as they say it is under control, and I'm reluctant to go down and have a word as there are so many of them!
When you contact the environmental health office at the council,do it on your mobile phone from your front garden so they can hear for themselves how bad the noise is.
