i was assualted by my ex wife, when i restrained her she had two injrys (a swollen elbow & a small cut to her heal)
i am on bail with a veiw to prosicute,

can i put in a couter charge, and if so how long have i got to put it in??

No wittnesses to the assault on me,

and no other statments have been given as far as i am aware

The incindent came about when me ex bought my son to my house, we arranged for her to stay the night as it was a long drive.
we sorted out the sleeping arangments, either i or her would sleep in the bed and the sofa.
it got late so i made the desicion in going to bed and asked if she wanted to sleep in the bed, she wanted to talk, but i didnt, so i went to bed,
she then followed me into my bedroom and started shouting, when i ignored her she then started to rip up some photo's of our children.
i then got out of my bed and she started to hit and kick me, i then tried to restrain her and get her out of m room, which i did.
i then shut the bedroom door were she opened it again so i guided her to the front room where she carried on hitting me, i then told her to leave, i felt it was best if i removed her from my house.
i dont know how she injured her elbow, but i accidently shut the door on her foot.
this is the back ground t the incident, hopefully this will help you with anymore advice??

i didnt take the free legal support, as i didnt think i needed it.
i only had small scratchs on face and hands, i didnt think they were serious enough to complian about them at the time.

my ex phoned the police more or less striaght away and they arrested me around 2 30am. after she made a statement in the ploice car out side my house.

i was taken to police station and interveiwed in the morning, i am on bail untill 010909, bail conditions say that i can not get intouch with my ex.
