ok does anyone know anything about this...I've written before about having a fixed pen for theft and so does anyone know if this would cause issues or put me on the baring list for teaching or working with children and young adults?

hey, yea i kind of thought that would be the end verdict but wanted to know if it would cause any probs or make me be put on the barring system etc

dont think you can be called for jury service if you have fixed pens.
Information here (especially page 6):

There will be set offences leading to automatic barring (I'd be very surprised if theft was one of them), anything else will go to an 'informed decision'. CRB checks etc are not there to stop people getting jobs, just to allow employers to make informed decisions.
