Guarantee where do I stand
I bought a new house in 2007 I did not move into this property until Nov 2008 my freezer has just packed up on me ( it came as part of a package with the property) I know I have a twelve month guarantee which would have run out but as I did not use the freezer until eleven months ago I was wondering where I would stand especially with this new EU ruling. I did phone Zanussi and as I though they fobed me off saying it was the builders responsability I phoned the builder and they said it was up to Zanussi. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how did they sort it out Many thanks

gives details of the EU directive.
The responsibility for your redress lies with who ever you paid for the freezer. If it was supplied as part of the purchase price of the house, the it is whoever sold you the house.
Don't be fobbed off or given the runaround. Simply say that you will take action in the small claims court if your claim is not met and, of course, be prepared to do so if all else fails.
