optitian appointment
10 Answers
I had an optitians appointment booked with a well known high street chain for next Wednesday but after being invited away the following weekend I thought that I would like new glasses for this so rang the branch to change my appoinment to today (Thursday the week before) so that they I could get my glasses in time.
Along I went today only to be told that my appoinment was not until next Wednesday (they hadn't changed my appoinment) and the earliest they could fit me in before that day was next Monday which I have accepted.
Would I be within my rights to demand that my glasses be ready by the Saturday (giving them 6 days) as it is their fault and I had left plenty of time to get the glases prepared?

If the glasses are tghat important to you that you are looking art legal options of how to get them, why don't you go to vision express - they do them in an hour
for future reference, you can get a half price eye test voucher online from dolland and aitchison (so it costs £13.75) and the use your prescription to buy glasses on line. i went to eye experts and got a great pair for £18.95 with anti-reflective, scratch resistant and thin lenses instead of paying the £159 i was quoted in the shp. online you can get any sort of glasses that you would get from any dispensing optician, but for a fraction of the price. i would strongly recommend anyone doing it next time round - simples! x
dont use tesco opticians even with free eye test they are crap!! they did an eye test on me and gave me an incorrect prescription then got nasty when i said i couldnt see out of them!!! i had another eye test in same store where they realised their mistake and it then took over 3 weeks for the glasses to come back to which i still dont feel they right.
