Closing times on Good Friday

Is there still a law that dictates the closing time of 10:30pm in public houses on Good Friday?

I believe so,you're lucky usual drinking hole is ran by the local RC Church and does not open at all.

Pubs round my way stay open usual Friday hours. Same everywhere I believe, those laws went out years ago.

Used to be Sunday hours on Good Friday but that changed many moons ago.

I remember Sunday hours, especially the lunchtime, when the pub would be open 12noon till 2pm (was it worth it?) and that's where I learnt the art of speed drinking lol

Pubs can now stay open throughout all of the licensed hours which must be clearly displayed upon the premises. (They can, of course, close earlier if they so choose. They're not obliged to be open at all of the times stated in the premises licence).

The general requirement for pubs to operate restricted (Sunday) hours on Good Friday has now gone but (being one of those boring nerds who actually bothers to read the premises licences displayed in pubs) I have seen a few pubs where different hours apply over Easter.
