Hi

We are buying a car for the family. Initially I will be main driver. Then my daughter then my son (we are looking out over 3 years) then my daughter again possibly !

We will be clear about who the main driver is at each stage. We are not 'fronting' for insurance purposes. We do want the individuals to build up their own no-claims etc. We will all be insured on it all the time through its life.

However I wonder wehether it is necessary to change the ownership particulars each time the main driver changes.

FWI we also have a family company that could own it but that probably brings tax complications.

Thanks in advance.

The registered keeper has no bearing on who's insured as the main driver. No need to swap the registered keeper, just the insurance for the main driver.
