deeds
a few weeks a friend of mine decided to change her wiil. the original one was left with her solicitor along with her deeds, she then found out from a friend that the solicitor was no longer in practice, although she was never informed. because this friend had also used the same solicitor she was able to find out where they had been transferred to. however when she contacted this solicitorthey said they had the will but no deeds. she then had to get another solicitor to contact the land registry to get the deeds drawn up. this has cost her 600pounds and 63 pence. surely someone should take the blame for this. this lady is 88 years old. can anything be done about this?
