what roughly be the charges for a juvenile ABH offence ?
i have a friend who has been charged with abh , he is 17 and has no other offences of this kind. him and a few friends were messing about as 17 year old boys do and it went wrong and one of the boys hair lit and well he got a few burns , but the family only pressed charges on the one boy. so if this is his first offence would he be let off lightly or would he be looking at some time inside ?

Pleading guilty will see sentencing pushed to a lower level, so a prison sentence is EXTREMELY unlikely Additionally , the fact that your friend is a minor means that the rules applied by the Youth Justice Board will apply. So your friend will almost definitely be given a Referral Order:
