Nuisance Neighbours
For the last year and a bit I have rented out a flat. About 5 months ago new tenants moved in downstairs who are your typical nosey neighbours. About a month ago my new tenant moved in. He is very quiet and no trouble however, the people downstairs are harassing him. They have been complaining about the nose he makes walking around in his flipflops, complained about the volume of his tv etc. Last weekend they put a note through his door saying he was on his last warning and they were going to complain to the landlord. I know he is no problem, he keeps his tv turned down and does not have wild parties yet the poor lad is a nervouse wreck and scared to relax in his own home. These people downstairs are busy bodies and very interfering so I can understand why he would feel intimidated. I obviously want to do the best by my tenant and let him enjoy his home. Where do i go from here, who can I speak to? Thanks.

Redcrx, I've owned the flat for 4 years and put laminate flooring down not long after moving in. I'd lived there for 2 years, my previous tenant for 1 and now this tenant and no one has complained before. Didn't realise it was against terms of lease, will have to look int that.
