Do you have to have a crb check done if you are a bar manager/bar staff in a pool/snooker club? Under 16's are always in the club on saturdays and sundays un-accompanied by adult/parents also throughout the school holidays, The club doesnt serve them alcohol they use the pool/snooker facilities xx

The Protection of Chuildren Act would make it a legal requirement, however it is the employer's responsibility to implement it, not the staff member

but what if the employer was fully aware that his staff member has a record to do with a minor but because they are friends aswell as employer doesnt put in for a crb check infact non of his staff have gone through a crb check
are you providing coaching of any sort, or are they simply using the facilities? If no coaching, then for me all you are doing is providing a service which they are using - you have not taken on any responsibility for them as minors, only as patrons of the club, so i would say no, you dont need it. It's the same as children being in the cinema unsupervised or left in the park or walking to school or in the shops - parents remain responsible.
