you would of thought that the owner would control her dog a bit better!!
Question Author
did not even say sorry
That`s disgusting. You could always try the RSPCA and tell them she has an animal she is not controlling which is inflicting harm on other animals. They might go around and give her some advice about suitable containment of the dog.
Question Author
237sj tried rspca they said the same as the police
you would also have been entitled to shoot the dog
Question Author
i think a long journey and hand it in saying i found it on a lay bye might help
No just shoot it, a domestic dog has no need to slaughter chickens, it shows that there is a tendancy for it to go abit wild, once they taste blood they could go for a child
I think the police might have something to say about shooting the dog!
Read through this section - Beunchico/dzug posted something about shooting animals killing farm stock and it's not as cut and dried as you think it is
Have you asked for compensation?
Question Author
they deny there dog done it even thought they admitted it took 1 home so no chance of compensation
Get a solicitor's opinion. Killing animals in someone else's garden should not be natural behaviour for a pet dog. Fox, yes - pet dog, no.
Question Author
and i would not hurt any thing so shooting is not an option
Cos no ones seen a dog chase a cat...or like R1Gezzers dog.....a car. It is what dogs do.
yes they chase them, but I've never seen a dog rip a cat to pieces, if this dog didn;t kill the chickens and it was a fox then that;'s a different story, but if it was a dog loose in a field chasing chickens or sheep or cows, a farmer can shoot it
My dog regularly ripped birds to shreds. I'd have gut's all over my hallway floor and sometimes the remains left on my sofa.
Dotty,You haven't seen a dog rip a cat to pieces?

Well I have, my next door neighbour's greyhound got off the lead and chased a local cat, caught it and shook it like a rag doll then ripped it to pieces in front of several people, and it was Horrible I can assure you.
Dogs are unpredictable, I would never own one.

jem
Shoot or poison it.
(The dog, not the neighbour.)
Jem I have seen this too. The police, rspca were not interested. I have not given 1p to the rspca since
You wouldn't get away with shooting it after the event. During maybe...

The police said no...the RSPCA agreed with the police. Not much you can do about it.
You maybe right ummm. That doesn't make it right though.
