Could you change your name to a number and legally have your name spelt as K8 instead of Kate for example..?

If it were possible, wouldn't it then make it legal for someone to go crazy and name themselves after any number without using any letters at all in their name?

Not sure if is legal but I though it would be an easy and cheap way of getting a private number plate, from Mr K101 HRS.

In the UK, I think, having read it somewhere, you cannot register your name with numbers in it. It is allowed in the USA as in Ed Sperry III.

As an aside, in Switzerland you can name your child from a list provided by the government. It has about 50,000 names in it and i guess tiger lily does not figure in it.

It's not allowed to give yourself a name which is unpronounceable, so numbers might or might not be allowed.  I think K8 probably would be okay.

Wicked!  I'd love to be called a number!

Mr. 6!

but I'm not a number, I'm a free man!!

Why don't the govt stop the band wagon and also ban babies being called Cruz?
